Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President (SVP)/Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) of Physician Practice SMCH/CEO PCHA, this executive is tasked with advocating for and overseeing the efficient and optimal ambulatory access across all SMCH/PCHA services and locations. The role involves managing every facet of patient access, engaging with each patient interaction point, to establish a seamless and coordinated experience for patients, families, clinical teams, and referring providers, ensuring a continuous and comprehensive care journey. Under the guidance of the SVP/CAO/CEO, the Vice President is expected to consistently evaluate and enhance ambulatory access performance, anticipating needs to develop and provide an exceptional service experience that meets and exceeds the expectations of patients/families, physicians, staff, and various stakeholders.This includes not only traditional access methods but also the incorporation of digital transformation across all patient access points. The Vice President is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing ambulatory access operations, including but not limited to: patient scheduling, referral management, insurance verification and authorization, and financial due diligence in alignment with SMCH/PCHA policies and applicable federal and state regulations. The Vice President also leads strategic, administrative, financial, and managerial functions related to ambulatory patient access operations, including digital access initiatives.Furthermore, the Vice President spearheads organization-wide initiatives aimed at enhancing patient access, improving patient care and clinical effectiveness, increasing operational efficiency, reducing waste, optimizing patient throughput, and fostering engagement among patients/families and physicians/employees.
