Our research focuses on synthetic biology, functional genomics, and epigenetics, particularly utilizing CRISPR methodologies to modulate transcription. About the Position The Jain Lab seeks motivated, diligent, and inquisitive candidates. Our research focuses on the interplay between organisms and their environments, specifically how factors such as oxygen levels and nutrient availability influence metabolism and disease progression. We have recently identified that chronic hypoxia, akin to living at high altitudes in Peru or Nepal, may offer therapeutic benefits for mitochondrial diseases.
