JOB SUMMARY
As a Respiratory Care Practitioner II in the Pulmonary Function Lab, you will play a crucial role in delivering both diagnostic and therapeutic clinical procedures. Your expertise will guide the assessment and treatment of neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients in accordance with physician orders.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
This position includes a variety of responsibilities typical for this classification, but is not limited to the following:
Conduct comprehensive pulmonary function tests including bronchodilator evaluations, spirometry, oxygen ventilation, hypoxic challenges, and overnight pulse oximetry.
Perform advanced diagnostic procedures such as actigraphy activity level monitoring, apnea studies, and airway resistance measurements.
Assist with arterial blood gas procurement and infant pulmonary function diagnostics.
Collaborate with Level III practitioners for additional testing as required.
Participate in ongoing education and adhere to safety and quality programs as per Joint Commission Requirements.
All duties must be performed in alignment with hospital policies, including service standards and the code of conduct.
