The role of Software Development Team Lead is pivotal in driving our team to consistently deliver functional software solutions. You will play a crucial role in the technical design and coding phases while providing essential guidance and mentorship to your colleagues.Key Responsibilities:Steer the team’s development efforts toward successful project completion.Oversee team management and foster personal growth for a group of talented developers.Offer technical direction to teammates through effective coaching and mentorship.Uphold high software quality standards within the team by establishing best practices.Identify growth opportunities and areas for improvement within the team.Engage in peer reviews of design solutions and code.Ensure punctuality and active participation in all team meetings, including stand-ups, retrospectives, and planning sessions.Contribute to the technical solution from design through to code implementation.Stay informed on technological trends and evaluate various software products.Test, maintain, and suggest software enhancements to optimize functionality.Design, develop, and conduct unit tests for applications following established standards.Make informed technical decisions to provide effective solutions to business challenges.Manage the packaging and deployment of software releases.Collaborate closely with Development Project Managers and Business Analysts to provide accurate delivery estimates and oversee the transition from analysis to design and delivery.Provide regular and effective updates to Development Project Managers, proactively managing delivery risks and issues.Assist in gathering and documenting user requirements, developing user stories, estimates, and work plans.Prepare reports, manuals, and documentation regarding software status, operation, and maintenance.Oversee the delivery of multiple complex system development projects from design to release.Define project delivery phases, including activities, sub-activities, and milestones, ensuring comprehensive documentation of event logs, issue tracking, risk logs, and reporting.Foster stakeholder engagement and support by building strong project teams and maintaining clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.Contribute to the definition of departmental and systems strategies while progressing assigned objectives.Participate in reviews and meetings, providing clear updates on project advancements.Take responsibility for identifying and managing risks and issues, ensuring timely delivery that meets requirements.
