Join Our Team as a Solar Site Manager!
Spark Power, a prominent energy partner across North America, is on the lookout for a dedicated Solar Site Manager to enhance our expanding team.
In this pivotal role, you will manage the maintenance and daily operations of a large-scale solar facility. Your responsibilities will include spearheading site safety initiatives, supervising field technicians, ensuring optimal operational uptime, and performing both electrical and mechanical tasks according to internal standards and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all Health and Safety protocols to foster a zero-incident workplace.
- Champion a zero-incident safety culture by complying with Spark Power and client Health & Safety guidelines.
- Conduct daily tailgate meetings, complete hazard assessments, and obtain necessary electrical work permits.
- Execute technical troubleshooting, implement corrective measures, and perform preventative maintenance to enhance system performance.
- Manage correct energization and de-energization processes.
- Oversee and implement LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures.
- Interpret schematics, SLDs, and electrical blueprints effectively.
- Perform QA/QC inspections and document any deficiencies or required corrective actions.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with OEM specifications and recognized standards (e.g., NETA MTS, CSA Z463, NFPA 70E).
- Provide daily digital reports detailing all performed work, identified issues, and resolutions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including buildings, roads, vegetation, fences, and spare parts inventory.
- Supervise and mentor a team of technicians to guarantee work is conducted safely, efficiently, and in accordance with standards.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for weekend and emergency support.
- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of procedures and site operations through constructive feedback.
