Job Responsibilities Oversee and maintain all electrical systems and civil works within the solar PV plant to ensure regulatory compliance and optimize system performance. Perform regular inspections and maintenance on solar PV systems, including DC and LV components and connections. Respond to electrical malfunctions in solar PV systems, initiating fault diagnosis and implementing corrective measures. Maintain comprehensive documentation and records for all corrective and preventive maintenance activities through established channels. Supervise and assess work related to solar PV systems conducted by contracted personnel. Prepare reports for warranty claims on products such as inverters, PV modules, data loggers, etc. Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual operational reports detailing electricity production, efficiency, availability, maintenance activities, outages, inspection results, and equipment adjustments. Coordinate with government authorities such as the Energy Commission (ST), Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), and electrical consultants on all solar PV system-related matters. Engage with vendors and contractors regarding warranty and product quality issues. Manage and sustain the inventory of spare parts and tools provided. Assist and collaborate with the project execution team during and post-construction and installation phases of the solar PV system. Participate in other O&M-related activities at residential, commercial, industrial, and large-scale solar projects as directed by the engineer. Provide full support during emergencies (24/7 availability). Be available to support operations during Hari Raya and public holidays. Working hours and days will be arranged by the Solar Plant owner.

Core Operational ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement maintenance schedules for rooftop solar systems, aligning with contractual agreements and service level expectations; coordinate with Customer Service for effective planning.Oversee and ensure the execution of preventive and corrective maintenance, supervising technicians to confirm adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).Keep Customer Service informed of maintenance results to ensure timely communication with clients.Draft and evaluate technical reports to meet various requirements, including client inquiries, warranty claims, and insurance documentation.Monitor warranty claims, ensuring their completion, liaising with suppliers, and recommending process enhancements based on claim outcomes.Manage inventory levels of spare parts, tools, and equipment necessary for the operations team.Facilitate the tracking, follow-up, and resolution of service tickets within the defined SLA response timeframe.Process vendor and subcontractor quotes and invoices in accordance with established protocols.Uphold compliance with Quality, Safety, Health, and Environmental (QSHE) regulations aligned with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, and relevant best practices.Support Roles within the DepartmentDeliver both technical and non-technical assistance for internal process enhancements, including the creation of training materials, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and regular updates.Collect and escalate feedback regarding design shortcomings, installation quality concerns, or material defects to the Division Lead or Manager, along with suggested improvements.Assist internal initiatives from HR, QSHE, and other departments to foster teamwork, a culture of safety, and continuous improvement.Collaborate with regional or utility O&M teams during periods of resource scarcity or in emergency situations.

Oversee and coordinate all on-site operations to guarantee seamless project execution and compliance with timelines.Engage and communicate effectively with clients and subcontractors to fulfill project needs and resolve any issues that may arise.Compile and present comprehensive daily reports detailing site progress and activities.Set up and configure data loggers for efficient monitoring and reporting of system performance.Perform site surveys to evaluate project feasibility and collect essential data for planning and execution.

Support the engineering team in overseeing the scheduling and execution of corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance for commercial & industrial (C&I) and residential solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. Manage the application process for Permits to Work (PTW) and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations regarding site access. Supervise and evaluate maintenance activities carried out by technicians and contractors, ensuring adherence to established standards, procedures, and specifications. Track system performance through detailed analyses of energy generation, providing summaries to assess overall system efficiency. Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations and best practices, including conducting risk assessments and preparing Method of Statement documents for specific maintenance tasks. Maintain effective communication with supervisors, technicians, stakeholders, contractors, suppliers, and clients throughout the Defects Liability Period (DLP) and service warranty phases. Establish robust communication channels and ensure all necessary documentation and records are maintained properly. Oversee the processing of quotations, invoices, purchase orders (PO), work orders (WO), delivery orders (DO), and payment statuses for registered vendors. Assist in the preparation of reports including Inspection Reports, Preventive Maintenance Reports, Corrective Maintenance Reports, and warranty claims for equipment such as inverters, PV modules, and data loggers. Manage and maintain assigned company vehicles (if applicable) and oversee the inventory of spare parts, tools, and essential assets. Support the Engineer in conducting monthly checks on tools, personal protective equipment (PPE), machinery, and vehicle inventory to ensure sufficiency and compliance. Assist Engineers with various tasks as required to support project and maintenance objectives.
