Role Overview: As a Senior Test Automation Developer, you will spearhead the automation initiatives for our software testing processes, particularly for systems undergoing significant redesign. Your expertise will harness the advantages of automation, enhancing test coverage, speed, and reliability.Key Responsibilities: Assume full ownership of current test automation scripts provided by vendors.Enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of test automation processes.Increase the reliability of automated tests and reduce execution time for test runs.Elevate the quality of software releases with a focus on user experience and satisfaction.Develop an automation framework utilizing off-the-shelf test automation technologies.Accountabilities: Design, implement, and optimize test automation processes.Establish and monitor key metrics for test automation to drive continuous improvement.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering and QA to ensure alignment on objectives.Create and implement effective test automation strategies and measure their success.Coordinate with vendors to deliver automation solutions that meet established standards.Impact Areas: Stakeholders: QA, Engineering, Program/Delivery Management, Product Teams.Decision Rights: Provide strategic advice regarding QA/Automation tools and licensing, as well as KPIs for the automation team.Resources: Collaborate with approximately 10 automation resources from vendors and leverage existing licenses for UiPath and BrowserStack.Preferred Qualifications: Successfully delivered hundreds of automated tests, achieving measurable regression improvements in hours or days.Significantly contributed to or designed and implemented automated test frameworks that demonstrably improved testing efficiency.Created dashboards for reporting test automation statistics to stakeholders.Integrated test processes with CI/CD pipelines.
