The Senior Director will lead a dynamic team of enterprise and solution architects, collaborating closely with senior leadership to devise and implement organizational strategies, facilitate enterprise changes, and maximize technology investments.Key Responsibilities:Architecture:Establish and uphold architectural principles, standards, and governance for consistent interoperability across the enterprise.Adopt a comprehensive perspective of the organization, assessing how various projects and systems interact to enhance the overarching architecture.Develop and maintain detailed enterprise architecture models, covering business, data, application, and technology domains.Create and sustain technology roadmaps that direct the evolution of the IT landscape to accommodate future business needs.Assess and endorse technologies while overseeing their incorporation into the enterprise architecture.Evaluate aspects such as reliability, scalability, flexibility, and security in architectural decisions to guarantee the City’s long-term success.Infrastructure:Supervise the daily operations of the Enterprise & Solution Architects and associated personnel.Guide and manage a cloud support team.Direct daily operations within their scope, including formulating and managing strategies, plans, policies, and procedures.Assess new technologies and tools for their applicability to product and enterprise-wide architecture.Identify and mitigate potential risks linked to technology solutions, ensuring compliance, security, and scalability.Manage risks associated with technology decisions, focusing on compliance, security, and long-term sustainability.Collaborate with IT Security & Governance to ensure compliance and approved pathways to production for all domain initiatives.Platform Engineering:Oversee project budgets, timelines, and resources while ensuring high-quality deliverables.Mentor and train team members under their supervision.Engage in or lead recruitment processes as required.Work alongside leaders from various departments to comprehend business needs and ensure IT initiatives align with organizational goals.Provide counsel to product and solution architects as well as development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural principles and best practices.
