The Survey Instrument Operator plays a crucial role in assisting Land Surveyors and Party Chiefs by applying civil engineering and land surveying principles, methods, and techniques through various responsibilities. **Must be willing to travel**
Key Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Participating in field crew operations to gather data for boundary surveys, topographical surveys, and construction stakeout surveys.
- Learning to proficiently operate total stations, levels, GPS, and data collectors to collect survey data in the field.
- Working on construction stakeout projects under the supervision of a Party Chief, including curb and gutter, drop inlets, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, waterlines, and structures.
- Maintaining and ensuring proper upkeep of instruments on a daily basis.
- Providing clear and concise field notes, including sketches, to document findings.
- Collaborating effectively within a team environment and adapting to various weather conditions.
