Our facility is located on the stunning South Coast, adjacent to the scenic South Downs National Park, and conveniently just over an hour from London by train. At Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth, we pride ourselves on creating a harmonious balance between clinical excellence and a fulfilling work-life experience.Our progressive and collaborative department actively utilizes advanced technologies such as Image-Guided Radiotherapy (IGRT), Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy (VMAT), and 4D-CT. In 2020, we completed a linac replacement program, introducing four state-of-the-art Varian Trubeams equipped with 6 degrees of freedom couches and 4D-CBCT. We have a well-established Stereotactic Ablative Body Radiotherapy (SABR) service catering to lung and oligometastatic diseases, with plans to expand into spinal SABR treatments soon. Our treatment planning software, Raystation, has been operational for around a year.The successful candidate will manage the colorectal practice on the Isle of Wight, supported by a nurse specialist, prescriber, and resident doctor. The Upper GI practice is based in Portsmouth and shared with another Clinical Oncologist.
