Role Overview: Associate Engineer, Drug Substance This position works within the Drug Substance group and partners closely with Analytical Development-QC and Quality teams. The Associate Engineer will help prepare for commercial manufacturing scale-up, support process development, and ensure readiness for large-scale operations. Main Responsibilities Collaborate with internal teams to advance process development and optimization studies, using quality by design (QbD) principles and control strategies. Apply tools such as design of experiment (DOE) for process characterization. Help demonstrate safe execution of large-scale Drug Substance manufacturing by identifying potential risks and supporting mitigation strategies, including reaction calorimetry and risk assessment methods like FMEA and HAZOP.
