Saalex Solutions, Inc. is actively looking for a skilled Engineering Technician III to join our team in Ridgecrest, CA. Position Type: Full-Time
Salary: $25.85 Hourly
Work Location: Fully onsite.
Essential Functions:
- Provide robust support to engineering and design teams through a variety of standardized and prescribed tasks during the installation, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, calibration, testing, fabrication, construction, and operation of various electronic and mechanical systems in alignment with engineering specifications.
- Install, monitor, and service equipment and systems at both company and client sites.
- Conduct test and evaluation, check-out, and certification tasks; perform validations and verifications of diverse electronic systems.
- Review Engineering Change Proposals to assess equipment impacts.
- Assist in the creation of Engineering Change Instructions.
- Develop technical and engineering documentation for Planned Maintenance Systems, technical drawing updates, operating procedures, and maintainability enhancements.
- Support systems engineering initiatives with general subject matter expertise.
- Establish and maintain filing systems, databases, and logs to track project progress and inventory.
- Act as the on-site customer liaison for equipment/system installation, testing, fabrication, and other engineering-related tasks as needed.
- Provide technical data and evaluations for components, equipment, and systems in accordance with engineering plans and contractual requirements.
- Utilize established policies and procedures, along with subject matter expertise, to complete moderately complex assignments that vary in nature and sequence.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.
Requirements
Required:
- Five years of relevant experience.
- Strong communication and analytical skills along with a proficient understanding of computer systems and integrated software applications.
- A valid, current state driver's license is mandatory.
Desired:
- Basic cable knowledge including running, terminating, and testing video and Ethernet cables is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with basic computer programs and troubleshooting of hardware or software issues.
Education:
A High School Diploma or GED is required.
