Join an esteemed and expanding Accountancy Practice as an Accounts Assistant and Bookkeeper. Our client, a leading six-partner firm located in Essex, is eager to welcome an exceptional Bookkeeper to enhance their dynamic team.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage and complete VAT returns efficiently.
- Prepare bank reconciliations and process sales invoices and purchases accurately.
- Collaborate closely with clients to gauge their specific accounting needs.
- Engage with HMRC for compliance and inquiries.
- Carry out general bookkeeping duties to maintain accurate financial records.
Key Skills
- Proficient in Quickbooks and Xero accounting software.
- Experience with CIS Bookkeeping.
- Strong competency in Microsoft Excel.
- AAT or ACCA Qualified/Part Qualified preferred.
- Previous experience in an accountancy practice is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Exceptional communication skills with a proactive approach.
- Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal abilities.
The ideal candidate should have at least four years of experience in a similar role and be enthusiastic about joining a progressive accountancy practice that offers opportunities for professional development while working with a diverse range of clients. This role is particularly suitable for those qualified by experience (QBE) or actively studying, with study support available.
