Join BURN as a Design Engineering Fellow!Are you passionate about sustainable design and engineering? BURN Manufacturing is on the lookout for a dedicated and mission-driven individual to contribute to our innovative team in Ruiru, Kenya. As a Design Engineering Fellow, your key responsibilities will include:Developing both conceptual and detailed designs for clean-burning cookstoves tailored for the East African market.Researching and creating manufacturing processes, including the design of production tools.Engaging in hands-on fabrication activities such as sheet metal forming, welding, and general metal fabrication.Conducting rigorous testing of concepts and prototypes in both laboratory and field settings.

Key Responsibilities:• Conduct comprehensive market research on the ground, prioritizing key insights• Enhance market research frameworks, focusing on methodologies, analytical rigor, and interpretation• Analyze collected data and prepare insightful reports• Oversee product tracking and manage the consumer engagement database, troubleshooting issues and implementing new features• Facilitate SMS and phone surveys, analyzing the resulting data• Execute product testing to deepen understanding and improve methodologies• Innovate testing methodologies and optimize equipment usage as required.

Key Responsibilities:Oversee and enhance the product tracking and consumer engagement database, troubleshooting issues and integrating new functionalities.Conduct thorough data analysis and generate insightful reports from marketing initiatives, sales registrations, and SMS and phone-based surveys.Continuously monitor sales data, offering weekly insights and recommendations to the sales and marketing teams regarding market trends.Gain a deep understanding of the Kenyan media landscape (market share, demographics, etc.) and relay relevant trends and current events to management.Track, analyze, and optimize the ROI of various marketing campaigns.Assist in the systematic creation and tracking of sales and marketing KPIs through diverse methodologies.Effectively communicate sales and marketing metrics to team members.Develop quick and adaptable solutions for data acquisition, sharing, and visualization.Support the implementation and monitoring of CRM software for the sales team.Contribute to monetization efforts and explore innovative applications for BURN's data.Perform additional tasks as directed by sales and marketing leadership.
