What You’ll DoAs a Special Education Teacher, your responsibilities will include: Implementing lesson plans that align with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Providing targeted instruction and support to students receiving special education services. Adjusting curriculum and instructional strategies to cater to individual learning needs. Utilizing data to track student progress and modify supports as necessary. Collaborating with general education teachers to create inclusive learning experiences. Establishing a positive and structured classroom environment where students feel respected, supported, and motivated. Assisting students in developing effective study habits, self-advocacy skills, and social competencies. Maintaining regular communication with families regarding student progress and IEP objectives. Participating in ARD meetings, professional development, coaching sessions, and school events. Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (required). Special Education certification. Experience working with diverse learners is preferred.
