Job Summary
Aretum invites applications for the position of Facilities Inspector to oversee inspection activities at a government installation in San Antonio, Texas. This role involves conducting thorough inspections of buildings, support facilities, and assigned structures; identifying deficiencies; documenting findings; and ensuring that facilities remain safe, functional, and compliant with relevant standards. The ideal candidate will possess robust inspection experience, sound judgment, and the capability to operate effectively in a highly regulated military installation environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform inspections of assigned buildings, facilities, and support structures to identify structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, roofing, and general property condition issues.
- Assess visible building components and systems for safety, functionality, and maintenance concerns in alignment with applicable inspection standards and site requirements.
- Compile comprehensive, detailed inspection reports documenting deficiencies, observations, recommended corrective measures, and overall condition assessments.
- Document inspection findings with photographs and maintain complete inspection records in compliance with contract and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with facility management, maintenance teams, and government representatives regarding inspection findings, repairs, and follow-up actions.
- Verify the completion of corrective actions or repairs, as assigned, and conduct re-inspections as necessary.
- Support adherence to installation safety protocols, environmental standards, and site access procedures.
- Exhibit professionalism and discretion while working in a secure military environment.
