Role Overview
Each project presents unique challenges, with contributors tasked to:
- Craft original computational engineering problems that replicate authentic engineering workflows;
- Design issues requiring Python programming to perform engineering calculations and simulations;
- Ensure the problems are computationally intensive, utilizing numerical methods or iterative solutions;
- Develop challenges focused on system design, optimization, and analysis;
- Base problems on actual research challenges or practical engineering applications;
- Validate solutions using Python with standard engineering libraries;
- Clearly document problem statements and provide verified correct answers.
Candidate Profile
This opportunity is ideal for engineers with Python expertise who are open to part-time, non-permanent projects. The ideal candidates will possess:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field;
- Proficiency in Python for numerical validation; familiarity with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, and domain-specific libraries is also acceptable;
- A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in applicable settings such as applied, research, or teaching;
- A solid understanding of practical engineering constraints and approximations;
- Strong written English skills (C1+ level);
- Professional certifications (e.g., CMME, SAS Certifications, CAP) and experience in international or applied projects are advantageous.

Project Commitment
During active phases, tasks are projected to require approximately 10–20 hours per week, depending on project needs. This is an estimate and not a guaranteed workload.
Compensation Details
Participants can earn up to $69 per hour, contingent on their level of expertise and contribution pace. Compensation varies by project based on scope, complexity, and required skills. Please note that other projects on the platform may offer varying pay scales based on specific requirements.
