Job Summary
As a Pharmacy Technician at RLSBio, you will embark on a rewarding journey into the pharmacy field, focusing on innovative areas that transcend traditional pharmacy challenges. This position offers a unique opportunity to develop essential skills in aseptic processes, radiopharmaceuticals, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance.
The Pharmacy Technician plays a pivotal role in supporting pharmacy operations by meticulously processing prepared products and managing the handling, packaging, and delivery of radiopharmaceuticals.
Key Accountabilities
- Compounding and dispensing radiopharmaceuticals under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist.
- Packaging radiopharmaceuticals for customer delivery.
- Conducting quality control assessments on compounded products.
- Managing and maintaining facility inventory effectively.
- Performing disinfection tasks in the cleanroom and restocking sterile supplies.
- Maintaining thorough documentation for regulatory programs, adhering to Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Processing and/or dual verifying prescription entries.
- Executing leukocyte labeling procedures.
- Carrying out additional duties as assigned by the Pharmacist.
Education and Experience:
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
- High School Diploma or GED/local equivalent is required.
- Flexibility to accommodate shift changes based on business needs.
- PTCB certification or completion within six months of hiring, or current enrollment in an Accredited School of Pharmacy.
- Possession of a valid Pharmacy Technician State License.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination to meet compliance obligations for customer-mandated on-site requirements.
- A valid driver's license is necessary.
Key Capabilities:
- Experience in handling radiopharmaceuticals.
- Background in processing prescriptions and/or preparing pharmaceuticals.
- Experience in sterile compounding is preferred.
