Role overview
Soundly Speaking Therapy Services PLLC seeks a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant to support adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) in San Antonio. The position centers on providing therapy both in clients' homes and through teletherapy for adults aged 21 and older. Services combine in-person visits with remote care to meet each client's needs.
What you will do
- Travel to clients' homes to deliver individualized speech and language therapy sessions.
- Document each visit and share updates with families and case managers.
- Use and adjust existing therapy materials to help clients progress.
- Treat a variety of speech and language disorders in adults with IDD.
- Carry out therapy interventions that match the goals outlined in each treatment plan.
- Adapt your approach as needed and work closely with supervisors and case managers.
- Complete all required paperwork within 24 hours of each session.
- Maintain patient confidentiality in line with HIPAA and other regulations.
- Communicate clearly with families and case managers about therapy progress.
Requirements
- SLP-Assistant license or eligibility.
- Dedication to improving the lives of adults with IDD.
- Experience with adults with IDD is valued but not required.
- Strong sense of adaptability and commitment.
- Enthusiasm for teamwork and a willingness to learn from supervisors and peers.
