Position Summary & Responsibilities
As the Director of RF Payload Hardware at Logos Space, you will take technical ownership of the complete RF hardware design for our cutting-edge mmWave satellite payload and terminal. This pivotal role includes developing the RF system architecture, overseeing hardware subsystem vendors, managing the design and production of in-house subsystems, and collaborating with both internal and external software development teams. Your responsibilities will encompass satellite mmWave apertures, transponders, baseband processors, and RF-ISL payloads, as well as robust ground and airborne user transceivers.
The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in RF/microwave engineering, antenna systems (both high-gain and low-gain), and modern communication techniques, particularly those utilizing spread spectrum waveforms. You will provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, from defining requirements and designing architecture to hardware integration and performance validation.
The RF payload hardware team will also be responsible for developing suitable facilities and necessary ground support equipment. The Director is expected to build a fully functional team, ensuring efficient pacing to support the complete product development lifecycle.
We are seeking a highly proficient team leader to manage a large group directing multiple aspects of RF hardware development. This role will lead the design, development, integration, and testing of RF payloads for our satellite systems and related ground terminals. Strong expertise in RF/microwave engineering, antenna systems, and advanced communication techniques is essential.
