Role overview The Scientist I/II in Integrated Technology and Exploration designs and executes cell-based experiments, using both manual and automated workflows. The work focuses on generating key datasets that support and improve insitro’s predictive models. AI-generated predictions serve as hypotheses, which are tested at the bench. When results diverge from predictions, the scientist investigates whether the issue lies in the model, the experimental design, or the broader framework. Each experiment helps the system learn and become more accurate over time. What success looks like Consistent, high-quality execution of experiments that inform and refine predictive models Evidence-based contributions that improve the accuracy, calibration, and usefulness of the overall system Requirements Strong background in cell biology Comfort working at the intersection of experimental biology and computational modeling Curiosity and motivation to develop systems that improve through real-world data Work location and reporting This position is based onsite at insitro’s South San Francisco headquarters.
