About The Role:As a Speech Language Pathologist at Positive Development, you will play a vital role in enhancing the communication skills of children. This position involves delivering personalized clinical services, conducting assessments, and providing consultations tailored to individual client needs. You will be trained in Early Start best practices and DIRFloortime methodologies, ensuring a comprehensive approach to child development.Key Responsibilities:In this role, you will:Perform speech-language screenings without interpretation, utilizing age-appropriate techniques.Implement and adhere to documented treatment plans and protocols.Track and document progress towards established outcomes for children and families, providing regular reports.Conduct assessments, assist with formal documentation, and manage necessary clerical tasks.Organize activities and maintain accurate charts, records, graphs, and data.Ensure proper maintenance of augmentative communication devices (AAC) and other essential equipment.Deliver in-home sessions customized to each child's treatment strategy.Participate actively in weekly staff meetings, contributing insights and discussing case presentations.Manage administrative responsibilities, including maintaining current notes, progress reports, and certifications necessary for your continued employment.Minimum Qualifications:California Speech-Language Pathology Certification.A strong commitment to learning a Developmental, Relationship-Based Model (DRBI) through training, observation, and reflective practice.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.A genuine passion for supporting children on the autism spectrum.Ability to collaborate respectfully within a trans-disciplinary team.
