Position Overview
We are on the lookout for skilled Mechanical Engineers to become a vital part of our energetic team. You will play a crucial role in the design, development, and implementation of essential hardware components for our robotic systems. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles, hands-on experience with prototyping, and a genuine enthusiasm for crafting sophisticated mechanical solutions to intricate challenges.
Responsibilities
Utilize 3D CAD software to design intricate mechanical components and assemblies.
Conduct the development, testing, and validation of prototypes to confirm design concepts and functionality.
Produce thorough engineering drawings.
Carry out engineering analyses (FEA, MATLAB) to enhance designs for strength, weight, and durability.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (electrical, software, systems) to seamlessly integrate mechanical components.
Engage with manufacturing partners to ensure designs are feasible for production and meet quality benchmarks.
Construct and evaluate mechanical assemblies, fixtures, and testing apparatus.
Thoroughly document designs, testing protocols, and design processes.
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical design and development for complex mechanical systems.
Proficient in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, OnShape, UG, or similar).
Strong grasp of mechanical fundamentals such as kinematics, dynamics, and structural analysis.
Experience with actuators, sensing technologies, and transmission systems (strain-wave, planetary, cycloidal gearing, etc.).
Familiar with electromechanical integration (motors, sensors, wire routing, etc.).
Hands-on skills in prototyping and testing.
Exceptional problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.
