Role Overview The Senior Software Engineer (Santiago, Chile) joins the Enterprise team to develop integrations with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS). This team delivers accurate, comprehensive background checks for clients around the world, supporting both U.S. and international screening products. The work focuses on unifying experiences across Checkr’s background screening offerings and providing shared platform features to other teams. Development is roughly 70% backend and 30% frontend. As a senior engineer, this role shapes the architecture and direction of key solutions. What You Will Do Learn how ATS systems work and understand international laws that impact background checks, focusing on building well-designed platform features. Support internal Checkr teams as primary clients, enabling them to build specific screening products. Help unify backend and frontend code and user experience, so clients receive consistent, high-quality service worldwide. Work with Staff Engineers and leadership to design solutions and develop execution plans that move the platform forward.
