About the Role This position supports the Construction Management Team (CMT) and involves working closely with engineering teams, contractors, and operations. The Construction Coordinator manages project activities from start to finish, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to client requirements. Regular site visits are required to provide hands-on support for ongoing construction. Key Responsibilities Coordinate activities among the CMT, engineering teams, contractors, and operations to keep construction workflows on track. Support the use of digital and computer-based systems, including mobile field devices, for CMT and contractors. Handle administrative tasks: log and track action items, maintain digital records, and assist with general office duties. Act as a liaison between the CMT and engineering teams to address issues such as Requests for Information (RFIs). Review construction schedules each week and gather feedback from discipline superintendents within the CMT. Work with the CMT and contractors to confirm reported schedule progress, and escalate any discrepancies to the Construction Manager. Monitor and calculate construction productivity as needed. Schedule and Work Environment This role follows a rotational schedule: 2 weeks on-site, then 2 weeks off. Each on-site day is 11 hours. Conduct workplace inspections with the CMT, focusing on behavioral safety observations. Review Field-Level Risk Assessments (FLRAs) and daily contact cards for compliance and quality. Facilitate and supervise SHEQ-related training for staff and contractors, evaluating their qualifications. Participate in job hazard assessments, safety meetings, toolbox talks, constructability reviews, and project kick-off meetings as needed. Carry out daily and weekly job site inspections according to established protocols. Identify and resolve health and safety concerns specific to each site. Investigate injuries, accidents, and near misses, following site corrective action processes. Ensure significant events are reported promptly.
