Your Role
We are looking for an experienced Director of Applied AI to spearhead our newly established Applied AI team. In this pivotal role, you will design an AI-centric operational framework from scratch. As a technical visionary, you will bring a unique combination of engineering expertise and strategic influence to deliver production-ready AI systems. Reporting to senior leadership, you will identify key areas where AI can drive significant impact across our business functions, including finance, operations, and go-to-market strategies. You will cultivate a high-performing team of AI Engineers and Process Analysts, fostering a culture of rapid innovation and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the Applied AI roadmap, pinpointing high-impact opportunities to enhance business processes across finance, operations, and revenue generation.
- Recruit, mentor, and guide a talented team of AI Engineers and Process Analysts, promoting an environment of fast-paced iteration and creative problem-solving.
- Collaborate with functional leaders to gain insights into existing workflows and co-create AI-driven solutions that streamline operations.
- Establish standards for designing, assessing, and implementing AI workflows, including prompt systems and large language model (LLM) integrations.
- Define metrics for process transformations and hold the team accountable for delivering measurable outcomes, such as time savings and cost reduction.
- Act as the go-to expert on applied AI capabilities, industry trends, and best practices.
- Communicate strategy, progress, and results to senior leadership and the executive team.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in software engineering, AI/ML, or technical product leadership.
- A minimum of 2 years in a leadership role overseeing teams that successfully deployed AI-powered systems in a production environment.
- In-depth knowledge of large language models, agentic workflows, and AI automation tools such as OpenAI, LangChain, and vector databases.
