The Staff Accountant will adhere to established accounting policies and practices while assisting in disseminating these policies across various departments at MLB Network.Key Responsibilities:Assist in preparing financial records within the General Ledger system, including general ledger tasks and fixed asset management for the monthly closing process.Review and approve coding on expense reports in alignment with Company policy, up to designated dollar thresholds.Ensure accurate coding of invoices as per the Company’s chart of accounts.Verify the accuracy of affiliate and advertising revenue reports during the monthly closing process.Support the financial statement audit process.Assist with cash reconciliation efforts, including monthly bank reconciliations, daily cash disbursements, and monitoring bank balances.Prepare quarterly financial reports, including Cash Flow analysis.Maintain employee account information in Concur.Foster and maintain strong business relationships with clients, team members, and other administrative departments to support accounting functions.Provide assistance as necessary to various areas within the Finance and Accounting department (e.g., Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable).Continuously enhance knowledge in the accounting field and overall business operations.Contribute to special projects as assigned.Perform other duties as required.
