Design and enhance wave soldering processes for both new and existing products, ensuring optimal quality and efficiency.Create and uphold process control plans to guarantee consistent, defect-free soldering.Conduct thorough process qualification and validation studies.Execute preventive maintenance on wave soldering machinery.Diagnose and resolve soldering issues, including overseeing rework processes.Oversee spare parts management for soldering equipment.Inspect PCBs for solder quality and cleanliness to meet high standards.Ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.Collaborate closely with production, engineering, and other departments to facilitate smooth wave soldering operations.Provide technical support and training to soldering technicians.Engage in new product introduction (NPI) activities to ensure manufacturability, while maintaining a consistent, zero-defect soldering process.Analyze soldering process data to pinpoint areas for enhancement.Implement and monitor process improvements.Possess in-depth knowledge of wave soldering principles, processes, and equipment (wave machine, fluxer, washing and coating, etc.).Familiarity with soldering materials, fluxes, and cleaning agents is essential.Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.Proficiency in operating soldering equipment and tools.Knowledge of soldering defects along with troubleshooting techniques.Experience and expertise in Conformal Coating Process Development & Optimization, including the development and validation of conformal coating processes (spray, selective coating, dip coating, manual touch-up), defining process parameters, and standard operating procedures (SOPs), as well as managing setup and optimization of selective coating machines (e.g., Nordson, Asymtek, PVA).

Collaborate with the R&D team on New Product Introduction Projects throughout all development phases.Support sourcing and materials teams in identifying, testing, and qualifying new or alternative components.Work closely with R&D to evaluate and validate alternative end-of-life components.Lead the factory component qualification team.Coordinate with R&D to address testing and design challenges related to products.Conduct analysis and suggest corrective actions in cases of design failures.Compile failure analysis reports to provide feedback to suppliers and R&D for necessary actions.Document, track, and escalate issues as necessary, utilizing quality tools and techniques.Offer engineering support for all testing activities conducted in the factory.Engage in troubleshooting and trial runs with various teams to identify and resolve root causes.Analyze and propose enhancements to production processes and methods aimed at reducing costs and improving quality in testing and manufacturing.Train and mentor technicians and troubleshooting staff to ensure accurate and timely performance of tasks.Collaborate with test equipment suppliers for appropriate maintenance and upgrades of software and firmware.Stay informed about the latest technologies and techniques in power supply testing methods.
