Location: Stellenbosch, Western Cape, South Africa Salary: R20 000–R25 000 per month, depending on experience, plus commission and additional benefits. Start date: As soon as possible About the Role arvo seeks a Business Development Manager focused on hospitality clients for its avocado production and sales business. This Stellenbosch-based position centers on growing relationships with restaurants and gourmet outlets. Experience in hospitality sales is essential. Familiarity with food storage and handling is a plus. Main Responsibilities Grow the customer base by engaging existing hospitality clients and prospecting new restaurants in the region. Train kitchen staff on avocado handling, storage, and usage. Oversee order management, stock control, and route planning for smooth operations. Participate in training sessions on technical fruit topics, sales strategies, and systems. Lead a small team (2–6 people) handling tele-sales and deliveries. Share insights and sales strategies with the team to strengthen marketing efforts. Identify and approach potential clients through business directories, industry events, and other channels. Maintain detailed customer records using the CRM tool Skynamo. Working Hours and Conditions Full-time, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work for promotions, trade shows, or conferences. Approximately 45 hours per week. Some after-hours and weekend availability required for client support. Requirements At least 5 years of sales experience in hospitality or a related field. Proven sales record and strong math skills for quick problem-solving. Excellent communication, with the ability to influence and listen to clients. Compensation and Benefits Competitive basic salary (R20 000–R25 000), with performance-based commission (average commission can double the basic salary). Company car or car allowance of R5,000 per month. Cell phone allowance of R800 per month. Tablet provided.
