This position focuses on budget processes, expense analysis, and cost reallocation under the Operations Chapter.This role is based at CIMMYT’s campus in Texcoco, located approximately 45 km northeast of Mexico City.Key Responsibilities:Participate in the annual institutional budget process, including administration, operational expenses, and CAPEX.Develop institutional templates that incorporate historical data and forecasts for the year ahead.Upload budget data for support and institutional units into Microsoft Dynamics AX/365.Conduct monthly expense monitoring (Budget vs. Actuals) and manage significant variations to prevent end-of-year overspending, particularly concerning the D365 project.Prepare and distribute monthly and quarterly financial management reports.Oversee D365 project contracts with consultants and outsourced services.Conduct midyear budget revisions and analysis (Budget vs Actuals, Forecast, etc.).Assist in maintaining institutional master data within the system (new project codes, expense categories, modifications, etc.).Analyze large databases using Excel to provide meaningful financial insights.Contribute to the enhancement of reporting formats and the development of KPIs.Ensure financial reports are accurate and comply with international standards and agreements.Support the monthly Integrated Management Reporting Package (IMRP) by explaining key variances.Collaborate with various departments to gather necessary information for budget analysis.Assist the Financial Information and Reporting Manager with various activities.Respond to ad hoc requests for financial information.
