This position focuses on budget processes, expense analysis, and cost reallocation under the Operations Chapter.This role is based at CIMMYT’s campus in Texcoco, located approximately 45 km northeast of Mexico City.Key Responsibilities:Participate in the annual institutional budget process, including administration, operational expenses, and CAPEX.Develop institutional templates that incorporate historical data and forecasts for the year ahead.Upload budget data for support and institutional units into Microsoft Dynamics AX/365.Conduct monthly expense monitoring (Budget vs. Actuals) and manage significant variations to prevent end-of-year overspending, particularly concerning the D365 project.Prepare and distribute monthly and quarterly financial management reports.Oversee D365 project contracts with consultants and outsourced services.Conduct midyear budget revisions and analysis (Budget vs Actuals, Forecast, etc.).Assist in maintaining institutional master data within the system (new project codes, expense categories, modifications, etc.).Analyze large databases using Excel to provide meaningful financial insights.Contribute to the enhancement of reporting formats and the development of KPIs.Ensure financial reports are accurate and comply with international standards and agreements.Support the monthly Integrated Management Reporting Package (IMRP) by explaining key variances.Collaborate with various departments to gather necessary information for budget analysis.Assist the Financial Information and Reporting Manager with various activities.Respond to ad hoc requests for financial information.

Collaborate closely with senior capacity development specialists to co-design innovative capacity development courses, programs, and solutions tailored to the needs of CIMMYT’s research initiatives and technical partners.Assist in structuring effective learning content by defining clear learning objectives, creating detailed modules, designing interactive activities, and developing basic assessments that facilitate learner engagement.Craft engaging learning activities and create compelling course content aimed at enhancing knowledge retention and transfer.Support the development and formatting of instructional materials, including presentations, infographics, learner and facilitator guides, worksheets, and multimedia resources that enrich the learning experience.Contribute to the basic editing, layout, and quality assurance of learning materials to ensure they meet institutional guidelines for clarity and consistency.Assist in organizing and maintaining version control for learning content and materials.Upload, organize, and manage course content within Learning Management Systems (LMS) effectively.Provide day-to-day administrative support for the CIMMYT Academy LMS, including course setup, user enrollment, monitoring learner participation, generating reports, and liaising with instructors and IT teams to ensure seamless delivery of online and blended learning activities.Support testing of courses and learning activities before launch and assist in troubleshooting during delivery.Document lessons learned, best practices, and areas for improvement for future courses.
