About the Role
As the Content Acquisitions Manager, you will be instrumental in securing a steady flow of content to meet Crunchyroll's seasonal simulcast slate and catalog offerings. You will strengthen our partnerships with Japanese teams and enhance our reputation as the foremost international distributor of Japanese anime globally.
Core Responsibilities
- Engage with Japanese and international partners to gather updates on their production schedules and explore opportunities to enhance our distribution partnerships.
- Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with Japanese partners, overseeing daily account management.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure exceptional service for our partners and compliance with contractual commitments.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of our business across all internal departments to address key issues, trends, and market dynamics.
- Maintain open communication with licensors to manage requests, bid submissions, and implement solutions while reporting on our activities.
- Work closely with the Content Evaluation team to assess content value.
- Partner with the Business Affairs team to finalize contracts and ensure asset delivery.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to secure the necessary marketing materials for successful title launches.
In this position, you will report directly to the Director of Content Acquisitions.
This role is based in Tokyo, Japan.
