Role Overview The Senior Network Engineer - Enterprise will shape and maintain the internal network infrastructure that powers Northwood’s operations. This role supports facilities, staff, and ground station activities as the company builds a global network of phased array ground stations for government and commercial space communications. The position is based in Torrance, CA. What You Will Do Design campus and facility networks: Build LAN infrastructure for corporate offices and ground station sites. Architect networks for both standard enterprise needs and specialized satellite communication systems. Implement zero-trust network architecture: Set up network segmentation, microsegmentation, and zero-trust access controls. Create secure zones for ITAR-controlled systems and government workloads. Deploy and manage wireless infrastructure: Engineer and roll out enterprise WiFi across various facilities. Ensure secure wireless access for corporate users, keeping operational systems isolated. Integrate cloud networking: Design hybrid connections between on-premises locations, AWS Commercial/GovCloud, and Cloudflare’s backbone. Set up VPNs and private links for multi-cloud environments. Manage network security appliances: Configure firewalls, intrusion detection, and network security monitoring. Work with security teams to put network-based protections in place.
