Industrial Electric Manufacturing (IEM) seeks a Basis of Design (BOD) Program Manager to guide high-priority BOD projects in an engineer-to-order setting. This role is central to coordinating cross-functional teams and ensuring that engineering milestones are met on time and to high standards. The position is open to candidates based in Franklin, TN; Fremont, CA; Jacksonville, FL; Tualatin, OR; or remotely within the US. Role overview The BOD Program Manager leads, plans, and executes multiple strategic projects. This includes managing the full project lifecycle from kickoff through design and production readiness. The position requires close collaboration with Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Senior Management to ensure each project’s success. What you will do Lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects successfully. Work with resource managers to plan and maintain project capacity. Organize and document kickoff meetings, design reviews, and production readiness reviews. Monitor progress across electrical, mechanical, wiring, manufacturing, and process engineering. Coordinate communication after engineering releases to keep all teams informed. Serve as the main point of contact for Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Senior Management on BOD project status and deliverables. Partner with Operations to confirm production readiness, manage punch lists, and follow up on resolutions. Handle change requests for customer-driven and major design changes. Keep senior management and engineering leadership updated on gate review readiness and support lessons learned sessions. Report project performance metrics to management stakeholders. Mentor project management team members on best practices. Requirements Proven leadership in project management roles. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Experience managing multiple projects at once. Proficiency with project management software and tools.
