In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in preparing vehicles for a flawless painting process, ensuring an impeccable finish. Your keen attention to detail and efficiency will be vital to our painting operations' success.Key Responsibilities: Thoroughly prepare vehicle surfaces for painting through sanding, priming, and cleaning as necessary. Carefully mask off areas of the vehicle that do not require painting, ensuring accuracy. Conduct surface inspections to identify and rectify any imperfections prior to painting. Work collaboratively with painters to maintain a seamless workflow. Ensure a tidy and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols. Handle and mix paint materials according to manufacturer specifications. Execute quality checks on surfaces after preparation. Assist in the upkeep of painting equipment and tools to ensure optimal condition. Qualifications: Experience as a painter prepper or in a related auto body role is essential. Proficient in various painting and preparation techniques. Exemplary attention to detail and a strong focus on quality. Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks effectively. Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset. Physical stamina to perform the required tasks of the role. A valid driver’s license is advantageous. High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in auto body repair or painting is a plus.
