Role overview
The Forward Deployed Engineer serves as a bridge within Dexory’s engineering group, facilitating collaboration between teams and acting as the company’s representative in customer environments. As one of the first in this position at Dexory, this person will influence how the function evolves as the company grows.
What you will do
- Collaborate with customers during new deployments, from initial setup through troubleshooting.
- Analyze telemetry data, robot logs, and AWS infrastructure to identify and resolve issues.
- Work with point cloud data and robotics tools such as Grafana to investigate technical problems.
- Document recurring technical issues and share structured insights with engineering teams to improve system reliability.
- Assist customers with WMS and network integration, and answer questions about robot operations and perception configuration.
Requirements
- Strong technical curiosity and an investigative mindset for problem-solving.
- Ability to work with complex systems and quickly learn new tools.
- No prior experience in robotics or logistics required; domain knowledge is gained on the job through close collaboration with engineering teams.
