About the job
About Neara
Neara builds digital twins of electricity grids for utilities across four continents. By simulating extreme weather and structural stress at scale, our technology helps asset owners spot risks, optimize investments, and strengthen energy infrastructure. We use machine learning and physics-based modeling to give utilities the tools they need to prepare for hurricanes, thunderstorms, and other challenges, before they happen.
Our team is made up of engineers and data scientists who care about real-world impact. We value ownership, creativity, and a drive to solve meaningful problems in the energy sector.
Role Overview: Implementation Engineer (Vilnius)
The Implementation Engineer joins our Deployment Team, working to deliver the Neara platform to utility clients around the world. This role focuses on transforming raw utility and geospatial data into accurate digital twin models of electricity networks. Expect to work with GIS, LiDAR, and asset data, configure models using Neara’s schema language, and ensure results meet engineering standards.
What You Will Do
- Support the full deployment process for the Neara platform with utility clients globally.
- Ingest and manipulate large datasets (including LiDAR, GIS, and asset databases) using our schema language and configuration tools.
- Perform thorough quality assurance and control to confirm digital twins match real-world physics and client needs.
- Develop custom reports and dashboards within the platform to deliver actionable insights for utility engineers.
- Work closely with Product and Engineering teams to suggest improvements that speed up future deployments.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in data engineering, implementation engineering, integration engineering, or software engineering.
- Comfort working with GIS, LiDAR, and related data types.
- Background in schema languages and model configuration.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Clear communication and a collaborative approach.
