POSITION SUMMARY:Join our team as a Pharmacy Technician! While certification is not mandatory, having prior experience in a pharmacy setting is highly desired and beneficial.Efficiently prepare new prescription and refill orders.Select and retrieve the correct medications, compound and dispense medical prescriptions, verify quantities, and prepare labels for bottles.Submit orders to the Pharmacist for final approval.Pre-pack medications from the manufacturer’s bottle for use in dispensing medications in quick pick areas.Prepare medications for shipment.Restock work station supplies such as pill bottles, caps, safety seals, and paper.Maintain cleanliness of equipment.Operate, refill, and clean pill counting machines as needed.Handle packing of medications and supplies.

While certification is not mandatory, prior experience in a pharmacy environment is highly advantageous.• Prepare new prescriptions and refill orders.• Accurately select and retrieve medications, compound and dispense prescriptions, verify quantities, and prepare labels for bottles. Forward orders to the Pharmacist for completion.• Pre-pack medications from the manufacturer's bottle for use in dispensing in quick pick areas and prepare medications for shipment.• Restock work station supplies including pill bottles, caps, safety seals, and paper. Maintain cleanliness of equipment and may operate, refill, and clean the pill counting machine.• Responsible for packing medications and supplies efficiently.Key Responsibilities:The following are the primary task areas necessary for successful performance within this role, which constitute at least 80% of the job's responsibilities:1. Prepare and pick prescription orders (40%)2. Pack orders in boxes/coolers with ice (40%)3. Complete ancillary support functions (10%)Qualifications:• High School Diploma or equivalent required• Previous experience in a retail pharmacy or medical setting is preferred• Familiarity with standard pharmacy dispensing practices and procedures• Strong attention to detail• Excellent organizational skills• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced work environment, learn quickly, solve problems, and make informed decisions• Basic computer skills• Willingness to work flexible hours during peak times• Capability to stand for extended periodsAdditional Information:Candidates must be available to work between the hours of 8 PM - 8 AM.
