Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop high-quality benchmark materials using tools such as Substance Designer, Substance Painter, ZBrush, or other digital content creation tools.
- Ensure all materials are compatible and interchangeable within the project framework.
- Work closely with Level Artists to produce user-friendly materials that facilitate level construction.
- Collaborate with the Lead Artist to ensure materials are properly integrated and function effectively with project-specific shaders, including features like tinting and height blends.
- Maintain the integrity and consistency of the material library.
- Research and implement the latest industry trends and material creation techniques independently.
- Select the most suitable software for each task, demonstrating versatility beyond just Substance Designer.
- Be prepared to assist with basic prop modeling tasks when material creation projects are temporarily unavailable.
