About the Role
We are looking for an accomplished Engineering Manager to lead our Core Functionality team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee a high-performing group of engineers, drive technical excellence, and influence architectural decisions and technology strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a diverse team of engineers at various experience levels.
- Promote engineering best practices such as code reviews, test development, and automated deployment processes.
- Build, guide, and enhance a high-performing engineering team through effective coaching and career development.
- Collaborate with product management to convert business needs into technical solutions.
- Manage the end-to-end development lifecycle from planning and design to deployment and maintenance.
- Establish and track essential engineering KPIs, emphasizing flow metrics like lead time, cycle time, and throughput for enhanced predictability and efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement in our data engineering practices, tools, and methodologies.
- Handle technical debt while ensuring the long-term health and scalability of our intricate codebase.
- Encourage a culture of curiosity, accountability, and technical excellence within the team.
- Provide regular updates on team performance and project status to executive leadership.
