Join our Advanced Powertrain team as a Powertrain Simulation Engineer, where you'll play a pivotal role in the research and development of cutting-edge digital tools and virtual calibration processes for hybrid and electric vehicles. Your expertise will help shape methodologies in controls and model-based calibration, contributing significantly to our projects. Key responsibilities include:
- Methodology Development & Tools: Standardize virtual development processes for powertrain systems, and develop and implement model-based calibration methodologies and parameter identification tools. Continuously enhance existing methods and tools within the team.
- Modeling & Simulation: Create and maintain powertrain system-level and vehicle-level 1D/0D models. Support control development and model-based calibration activities with robust modeling frameworks, ensuring model accuracy and fidelity for virtual validation.
- Software Integration & Validation: Integrate specific powertrain software control functions into simulation environments, conduct virtual-level validation of control strategies, and support software validation processes through simulation-based testing to enhance vehicle calibration efficiency.
- Testing & Model Validation: Plan and coordinate test campaigns for model and process validation, perform detailed data analysis, draw technical conclusions, and ensure alignment between virtual predictions and physical test outcomes.
- Technical Reporting & Communication: Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate project progress and results, and support the definition of project requirements through effective internal communication.
- Team Collaboration: Act as an expert in your field, contribute to the team's success, assist in problem-solving, and collaborate with other evaluation, design, and simulation teams.
