Role Overview

The Facility Security Officer 2 manages the security program for AEVEX Aerospace in Dayton, ensuring compliance with regulatory and government requirements. This position provides security guidance to both the organization and its leadership team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply risk management and analytical methods to carry out the security program.
  • Deliver briefings and training sessions, both in person and in writing.
  • Handle and protect personally identifiable information (PII) and other sensitive data, meeting all reporting obligations.
  • Implement physical and procedural security measures with minimal impact on daily business.
  • Prepare, maintain, and secure official records for government audits.
  • Regularly review and assess the industrial security program to protect employees and company assets.
  • Oversee automated access control, intrusion detection, and CCTV systems.
  • Manage facility access for vendors, consultants, and contractors.
  • Work closely with Export Control, Facilities, and IT teams to formalize security processes.
  • Investigate sensitive incidents and policy violations, providing guidance on disciplinary actions when needed.
  • Collaborate with business units, senior management, and government officials.
  • Represent the facility in discussions with AEVEX Corporate executives, site management, and government agents on security and asset protection matters.
  • Maintain relationships with local and federal law enforcement, federal investigators, and emergency response teams.
  • Interpret and enforce security policies, while updating and communicating changes to procedures as needed.
  • Develop and lead educational programs and training for all staff.
