As a Field Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), you will act as a strategic advisor and a front-line security leader. This role merges extensive cybersecurity knowledge with external engagement, fostering trust among customers, prospects, regulators, and industry stakeholders while shaping internal strategies.
We are in search of a Field CISO to join our Security team to serve as a trusted security advisor for our clients and prospects, aiding our go-to-market (GTM) and Marketing teams in complex enterprise interactions.
This leadership position will be pivotal in achieving corporate objectives and driving business growth. As a public representative of Vanta, you will participate in regional and global events, including conferences, media interactions, analyst meetings, and other significant industry gatherings.
Reporting directly to the Chief Information Security Officer, the Field CISO will bridge Vanta's internal security expertise with external stakeholders. You will play a crucial role in customer discussions, elucidating Vanta's security posture, strategic roadmap, and overarching philosophy. Additionally, you will contribute strategically to our internal security programs and be an integral part of the leadership team reporting to the CISO.

Key Responsibilities as a Field CISO at Vanta:
Customer & Market Engagement
Act as a trusted security thought leader in customer engagements, supporting sales, customer success, and strategic partnerships.
Lead the security narrative during late-stage sales cycles; conduct executive briefings to mitigate risks and establish trust.
Work closely with RVPs/AEs as a quota-attached executive; oversee the security workstream to facilitate late-stage conversions and account expansions.
Participate in weekly forecast discussions; identify trends and provide insights to drive strategic decisions.
