Join our team as a Field Data Collection Driver and play a pivotal role in a groundbreaking digital mapping initiative. We are on the lookout for a dependable, safety-focused, and tech-savvy individual to operate a company-issued vehicle equipped with an advanced 360-degree camera system designed for capturing high-quality street-level imagery. This invaluable data will contribute to enhancing global geospatial technology platforms and mapping services that power navigation products worldwide.
No prior mapping experience is required, as comprehensive training and technical support will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive a specialized vehicle fitted with camera systems to gather 360-degree imagery.
- Adhere to pre-defined driving routes assigned on a daily basis.
- Transfer collected data from onboard devices at the conclusion of each shift.
- Perform regular equipment checks to ensure optimal functionality.
- Collaborate with the technical support team regarding any issues or updates.
- Exhibit a professional and courteous demeanor while representing the program in public settings.
Who You Are:
- A responsible driver who is comfortable with technology and enjoys working autonomously.
- You adhere to safety rules, maintain your vehicle in excellent condition, and prioritize safety.
Additional Information:
All necessary equipment, vehicles, and training will be provided. Candidates are required to pass a background check, comply with routine safety screenings, and complete onboarding training. The work schedule is full-time, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility based on weather conditions and route completion. You should be willing to drive up to 8 hours a day on public roads, occasionally covering long distances. Access to secure parking (preferably with CCTV) for the company vehicle is preferred, and assistance may be offered to qualifying candidates.
