Education & Experience:Minimum of 5 years of construction safety experience. Certified Health and Safety Technician (CHST) designation preferred. OSHA Construction Outreach Certification required. Required Skills & Abilities:Strong communication, organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and standards. Able to collaborate effectively with all construction groups, management, owners, trades, vendors, and subcontractors. Capable of performing on-site safety responsibilities, identifying hazardous situations, and recommending corrective actions. Willingness to travel to various job sites and other states as necessary. Able to work cohesively with remote teams while on-site. Commitment to upholding Royal Electric’s safety standards and practices. Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) on job sites. Able to sit, stand, and walk during the workday and occasionally climb ladders.

Role overview

The Field Safety Manager is based in Dallas, Texas, and focuses on upholding and advancing safety standards across job sites. This role works closely with project teams to encourage a safety-first mindset and maintain compliance in the field.

Key responsibilities

  • Visit project sites to assess current safety practices and reinforce a strong safety culture.
  • Coach field supervisors and crews on safe work methods and procedures.
  • Create job-specific safety plans and collaborate with foremen and superintendents to develop job hazard analyses.
  • Review project documents and subcontracts to identify safety requirements.
  • Build and maintain working relationships with clients and project safety contacts.
  • Oversee safety documentation, including program reports, hazard assessments, toolbox talks, and daily safety meetings.
  • Lead safety training sessions on topics such as Confined Space, Fall Protection, Excavation, Forklift safety, and NFPA 70E.
  • Investigate incidents, document findings, and ensure corrective actions are put in place.
