Role overview
The Field Service Lead manages a team of about eight technicians and engineers, overseeing work at two to six active customer sites in the Atlanta area. This position combines hands-on technical work with leadership responsibilities, guiding start-up, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance for IEM products at customer locations.
Supervisory responsibilities
- Provide daily guidance, mentorship, and technical support to field service technicians.
Key functions
- Lead and coordinate start-up and commissioning of electrical equipment at multiple customer sites, ensuring timely completion and resolving issues as they arise.
- Mentor and train field service technicians to strengthen team skills and knowledge.
- Serve as the technical expert for advanced troubleshooting, supporting both technicians and engineers.
- Travel as needed to IEM manufacturing or service facilities for training, factory testing, or related activities.
- Identify and communicate project risks to management that could affect team performance or project outcomes.
- Work closely with IEM Project Managers to address punch list items and ensure documentation is complete for project closure.
- Collaborate with commercial and administrative teams on tasks beyond start-up and commissioning.
- Ensure technicians have the necessary tools, materials, and documentation for effective site work.
- Report product or quality issues to management and coordinate with production and engineering for resolution.
- Work with management to schedule additional resources as needed for service requirements.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Location
This position is based in Atlanta, Georgia, and covers customer sites throughout the region.
