Overview
OWL Services is actively looking for a dedicated Field Service Technician to expertly install, maintain, and repair electro-mechanical equipment across various sites. This opportunity is perfect for individuals who possess strong mechanical skills, a commitment to safety, and a passion for troubleshooting independently.
In this key role, you will serve as the primary service representative, ensuring that essential systems including POS equipment, alarms, and security devices function optimally at client locations.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, inspect, repair, and replace electro-mechanical equipment effectively.
- Service devices such as cash registers, coin changers, alarms, and POS systems.
- Identify equipment issues and implement viable solutions swiftly.
- Fulfill service requests and perform maintenance repairs promptly and professionally.
- Review work orders, manuals, and technical schematics for accuracy.
- Utilize testing equipment, hand tools, and power tools proficiently.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company procedures meticulously.
- Participate in a mandatory 24/7 on-call rotation.
- Engage in overnight travel (30–40%) for installations and upgrades.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation using company systems and mobile devices.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Ability to operate independently and effectively solve problems.
- High attention to safety and compliance with safety standards.
- Willingness to engage in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
- Ability to travel overnight (30–40%).
- Clean driving record.
- Competence with computers and smartphones.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with POS systems (e.g., Verifone, NCR).
- Familiarity with alarm systems.
- Previous experience troubleshooting and repairing electro-mechanical equipment.
- Ability to complete service requests in a professional and efficient manner.
- Capability to read and interpret work orders, manuals, and technical drawings.
- Experience using testing devices and hand/power tools.
- Willingness to support installations and upgrades in other regions.
