InCharge Energy is looking for a Financial Accounting Manager based in Richmond, VA. This position oversees accounting operations and ensures the accuracy of financial reporting, compliance, and timely completion of month-end closing. Reporting to the Director of Accounting, the manager supervises the General Ledger (GL) accounting team and works closely with operational accounting to make sure all Order to Cash and Procure to Pay transactions are accurately reflected in the general ledger.
Main responsibilities
- Direct general ledger activities related to sales and purchasing, ensuring revenue, margins, inventory, fixed assets, and other balance sheet accounts are recorded correctly.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing journal entries and reconciling balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Supervise, mentor, and review the work of GL accounting staff.
- Collaborate with the Director of Accounting to maintain strong internal controls, support audit activities, and meet compliance requirements.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
