About the Role
As Sand expands its reach throughout Africa and beyond, we are collaborating with governments and public sector officials to implement transformative AI and data solutions. Our flagship healthcare initiative, the Health Operating System (HOS), is already operational in Rwanda, where hundreds of clinics have transitioned into next-generation health centers, reshaping healthcare delivery in Africa. The groundbreaking HOS data products and clinical systems enhance outcomes from maternal health to chronic disease management, currently benefiting over 1 million patients. Designed for digital empowerment, the HOS provides thousands of frontline health workers with essential tools and support to amplify their impact and strengthen community health.
We are on a rapid scaling trajectory. By the end of 2025, our HOS will be functioning in 10 countries, with plans for further expansion by 2026. This is not a mere concept , it is actively progressing, gaining momentum across various sectors including healthcare, water, energy, and telecommunications.
As an in-country Forward Deployed Engineer, you will oversee the end-to-end deployment, integration, and performance of Sand’s technology systems across healthcare, water, energy, or telecommunications. Your responsibilities will include ensuring seamless data capture, exchange, and governance between government systems and Sand’s platforms.
