Role Overview
We are seeking a full-time, on-site Forward Deployed Engineer to join our team in New York City. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a technically skilled engineer to engage directly with our customers and partners, designing, prototyping, and implementing integrations of Tavily’s API into real-world applications.
As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will work closely with strategic partners and high-value clients, playing a vital role in both pre-sales and post-deployment initiatives. You will assist in constructing RAG pipelines, developing production-grade applications, and creating industry-specific Generative AI use cases utilizing Tavily’s technology.
Your responsibilities will span the customer lifecycle, from initial discovery and solution design to scaling usage and identifying new growth opportunities. You will collaborate across product, engineering, sales, partnerships, and customer success teams.
Responsibilities
- Engage directly with customers to comprehend their use cases and develop tailored integrations using Tavily’s API.
- Contribute to pre-sales activities, including sales discussions, technical assessments, and proof-of-concept development.
- Design and implement prototypes and production-ready systems in collaboration with client teams.
- Analyze API usage trends and propose enhancements to optimize reliability, efficiency, and coverage.
- Work with internal teams to influence product roadmap priorities based on customer requirements and recurrent technical challenges.
- Create reusable technical documentation, reference architectures, internal tools, and templates to facilitate future deployments.
- Represent Tavily in customer discussions, architecture evaluations, post-deployment assessments, and technical engagements with partners.
