As a Forward Deployed Engineer within the Artificial Intelligence team at TransPerfect, you will be directly embedded with customers to tackle their most challenging issues, swiftly prototype AI-driven solutions, and implement production systems that create tangible business value.
This role uniquely combines engineering, product innovation, and consulting. You'll engage closely with clients to identify solutions to their problems, design working prototypes within days, and transition these into production-ready applications in just weeks. You will be responsible for writing production-quality code, developing custom solutions, and addressing complex technical challenges. The ideal Forward Deployed Engineer effectively transitions from prototype to production, significantly impacting revenue and our bottom line with a proactive, entrepreneurial approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with clients to define problems, understand constraints, and articulate clear technical solutions by asking insightful questions before coding.
- Quickly prototype AI-driven solutions and develop proof-of-concept projects that exhibit value within days.
- Take ownership of the entire process from identifying client issues to deploying production systems.
- Create production-quality code across the stack.
- Serve as the primary technical contact for customer engagements.
- Design custom applications utilizing LLMs, RAG systems, and agentic frameworks.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between clients and internal product teams.
- Lead technical discovery sessions with clients to uncover needs and opportunities.
- Build and implement integrations, data connectors, and tailored workflows, ensuring our AI platforms integrate seamlessly with existing customer systems.
- Assist sales teams during pre-sales technical discussions, demonstrations, and proof-of-value initiatives.
- Mentor technical teams on best practices for AI implementation, prompt engineering, and systems integration.
